“Twilight Talks” was a series of evening conversations organised by 360 Degree along with the India Book Foundation at the YMCA Hall, Trivandrum. Held in association with American Jewish Centre’s Asia Pacific Institute, the first discussion was in the context of the just released book, Squaring the Circle: Mahatma Gandhi and the Jewish National Home by P R Kumaraswamy, who is a Professor of Middle Eastern Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.

PR Kumaraswamy, Nicholas Blarel (Assistant Professor, International Relations at Leiden University, the Netherlands, and author of The Evolution of India’s Israeli Policy: Continuity, Change, and Compromise since 1933) and M G Radhakrishnan (Editor, Asianet News) were the panellists of the evening. The panel discussion was moderated by Arjun Haridas, India Representative of API.
During the second part of the evening, CP Surendran, former editor-in-chief of DNA newspaper, poet and novelist, read out from his latest anthology, Available Light. He was also in conversation with Anupama Raju, herself a published poet. Dr. Shashi Tharoor joined the duo for an interesting conversation on literature, making the evening more wonderful.
