The second phase of the #GiftAStory Campaign was successfully completed, with the inauguration of the two libraries that were being built in Alappuzha.
St. Mary’s Boys High School, Kainakary and St. George High School, Muttar and the 1000+ students studying there were the beneficiaries of the second phase of the campaign.

This phase was entirely funded by The School of the Good Shepherd, Trivandrum. Thanks to the support of the school management and students, we were able to gift the two schools two colorful digital libraries filled with almost two thousand books!

We are also very thankful to Mr Prashanth Nair IAS, who graciously agreed to come inaugurate the libraries and spent over three hours with the children.
Our volunteer teams from Trivandrum, Alappuzha and Ernakulam deserve a special appreciation for all the hard work they have been putting in since the month of June, to make this happen! Without them, it would have been impossible to complete this project!

Gift A Story campaign does not end with the setting up of the libraries. Our volunteer teams will be going back to these schools from the start of the next academic year, for weekly sessions, where they will ensure that the books are read and the space we set up is put to it’s best use!
