Conducting Model United Nations is a great way to foster one’s knowledge of diplomacy and International Relations. It enhances our idea of the functioning of the United Nations, one of the most important international bodies in the world.
The first edition of the 360 Degree MUN was organized from April 21-23 at the Kanthari Campus, in association with United Nations University Regional Center of Expertise, Trivandrum. More than a hundred delegates from across India participated in the conference, competing in five different committees. Dr Shashi Tharoor was the guest of honour of the event and spent over an hour interacting with the delegates and answering their questions. The valedictory function was presided over by Shri. K. S. Sabarinathan MLA who also presented the awards to the winners.
The event was a success in developing necessary knowledge about the political scenario across the globe and enhancing argumentative skills within each participant. Youngsters had an opportunity to learn from experts regarding ways to go about with diplomatic ties for effective articulation.
