Student Empowerment

“Twilight Talks” was a series of evening conversations organised by 360 Degree along with the India Book Foundation at the YMCA Hall, Trivandrum. Held in association with American Jewish Centre’s Asia Pacific Institute, the first discussion was in the context of the just released book, Squaring the Circle: Mahatma Gandhi and the Jewish National Home by P R Kumaraswamy, who is a Professor of Middle Eastern Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.

The “Back to Books” Week was organised by 360 Degree as an initiative to promote reading habit amongst youngsters. Reading is food for the mind.

360 Degree conducted the event “Book Swap” as part of the Back to Books Week with the intention of enlarging the world of words by bringing together a group of people who are like-minded in their love for reading.

360 Degree organised “Khwaab”, an open mic event, to bring to the stage the hidden talents within the city. Brought together the veterans and amateurs in the literary and artistic spheres of Trivandrum. The project was aimed at providing space for the ‘never heard of artists’ to perform and engage with an audience.

Conducting Model United Nations is a great way to foster one’s knowledge of diplomacy and International Relations. It enhances our idea of the functioning of the United Nations, one of the most important international bodies in the world.

“Gift a Story” is an initiative by 360 Degree to rebuild libraries at select schools across the state, who lost all their books in the Kerala floods that happened in August 2018
